Are portions of the claim not covered under the policy? How many policies are triggered for claims alleging ongoing loss? When should a claim be reported to the insurer and what are the consequences of late reporting? What reporting are the insured and insurer entitled to receive in the defense of an action? Snowden Kamayah LLP will provide an overview of some of the basic features of GL and E&O policies, discuss useful tips and present coverage case studies.

Presented by: David Boghosian, Managing Partner – Boghosian + Allen LLP
Description: While many risk and insurance individuals are engaged in litigation, how many have actually been directly involved in the process? Many professionals manage or may be engaged in parts of litigation, but usually it falls to staff to provide testimony at trial or participate at Examinations for Discovery. The staff at Boghosian and Allen have graciously put together a mock Examination for Discovery to show many of us what happens behind the scenes, or when claims professionals read reports. They will walk us through how a discovery works, how they look, and what you can expect if you were to ever be discovered. You will see a case play out and get to sit in as an observer to see how counsel questions the respective representatives of all the parties.
