Description: Today, many public entity sectors face one common issue when it comes to their insurance products, premiums. Behind the numbers and rates are underwriters. Many risk managers and insurance portfolio managers never get a chance to see the work that occurs behind the scenes which ultimately leads to that invoice. Today, IRC will take us through an underwriter’s work. They will give us a unique perspective by tackling this challenging topic through the lens of an associate underwriter who reviews a plethora of requests.

Description: Xpera is a well known multi-faceted private investigation firm. Many in the public sector world are no strangers to the complexities of some claims investigations. From social media searches to outright allegations of fraud and malingering, completing these investigations when warranted can be critical to the success of any defence. Xpera will walk us through the importance of investigating fraud. As well, we will get a glimpse into the day-to-day role of a private investigator and how the end product ultimately reaches our desks.

She has had a remarkable career spanning over two decades. Calissa’s passion for supporting individuals in need has been evident throughout her journey. With a diverse background in mental health, hospital care, education, acquired brain injury rehabilitation, and private practice, Calissa has made significant strides in providing essential mental health and behaviour support services.
Professionals often face immense pressure to perform, leading to stress and burnout. Calissa’s engaging talk, “Oxygen Mask Mindset,” emphasizes the critical need for self-care and boundary-setting to maintain mental health and achieve sustained success. Inspired by the pre-flight safety instruction to “put your own oxygen mask on first,” this talk provides corporate professionals with the tools and strategies to protect their peace and avoid burnout.
Calissa will guide attendees through a comprehensive framework designed to integrate self-care into their busy lives, set healthy boundaries in the workplace, and find joy outside of their professional roles.
